Personality

Teddy might appear to be a little shy but the truth is quite the opposite, While he is well mannered he can also be at times brutally honest. He rarely uses his Metamorphmagus power as he doesn't want people to think he's trying to show off (occasionally, though, the powers react to his emotions). He's quiet, loves to read and draw, but also has quite the temper if you rile him up too much.

He cares very much about the family he has and often treats James Potter like a brother.

Teddy doesn't like discrimination of any kind. Be it against muggles, Muggleborns, Half-Bloods etc. At the same time, however, he thinks it's just as bad to consider all Slytherins or Pure-Bloods evil and feels that sometimes wizards employ a bit of a double-standard against Slytherins/Pure-Bloods.

Like many members of the Black family, though Teddy tends to be friendly and out going (once he gets to know you), he can often come off as hot-headed and abrasive. He doesn't like to admit he's wrong, and is of the mindset that his opinion is one everyone is entitled too.

History

Teddy is both a Metamorphmagus like his mother and werewolf like his father; both of which he never knew. He was raised by his Grandmother, Andromeda Tonks (formerly Black) who had a kind heart and knew what acceptance and discrimination was first-hand. She did her absolute best with him and he loves her dearly for it.

He also had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with Harry and Ginny Potter, his Godparents, over the years and considers all of them extended members of his family.

Ted was sorted into Gryffindor in his first year. He was a good-looking boy who made friends easily. Being raised by Andromeda alone, however, he was very well-mannered and interested in the arts. He has many a fond memory of dancing around the kitchen with Nana.

Lupin nearly always has a sketchbook on hand, as his grandmother's passion for the arts seems to have manifested itself in a visual way as opposed to a preforming way.

Because of his condition, and his impressive family history, Teddy was interested in the Dark Arts (defense against), and he also had a knack for Charms, but never the patience for Potions.

In school he was popular, but never a rebel rouser. He was often seen with girls, but rarely dated any of them, and prefered studying to partying. He was always aware of his condition, but not nearly as self-concious of it as his father had been all his life.

Once a month, Ted carries on the Lupin family tradition of visiting the shack for his transformation. His was probably the worst kept secret of Hogwarts though, as Remus Lupin, and his lycanthropy, had now made it into the students history books. After he disappeared the first month the whole school knew, but times were different now. It wasn't something to be ashamed of, it was something to be wary and careful about, sure, but not ashamed.

After Graduation, he returned to Hogwarts to become the current Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. His ambition is to perhaps become Head of Gryffindor house one day.
